Patricia A. Barrett

I began her insurance career in Johnstown, PA as a secretary for a local insurance agency in 1970, one year out of high school. Over the years I have worked at various local insurance agencies in Johnstown before moving to Connecticut in 1988. From secretary, to personal lines service representative, to assistant in commercial lines, to commercial lines service representative, to large commercial customer service agent and now Commercial Lines Representative, my current position at the Brett Insurance Agency, Johnstown, PA. Somewhere in between there, I worked for an Independent Claims Adjusting firm assisting claims adjusters.

I was an insurance instructor and proctor for the Independent Agents Association of CT as well as for NAIW (National Association of Insurance women). I also serve on the Education Committee for the Independent Agent Association of CT., and in my spare time, I volunteered for Cocker Spaniel Rescue of New England.

My designations include, the Accredited Advisor in Insurance; Certified Insurance Counselor, Certified Professional Insurance Women and Diversified Advanced Education.

I love to sew, read, do needle work and my family. After being away from Johnstown for 20 years, I recently moved from Taftville, CT to Johnstown, PA with my dog Miss Maddie and of course she is a Cocker Spaniel.
